Week 1 : 27th July 2024
1. Introduction to Creative Problem Solving
- What is Creative Problem Solving? Understanding the fundamentals and significance.
- Why is it Important? Exploring the impact of creative problem-solving in innovation.
- Types of Problems Identifying and categorizing different types of problems.
- Exercise: Identify cases for group work.
2. Problem Discovery
- Identifying Problems Techniques to recognize and define problems.
- Framing Problem Statements Articulating and refining problem statements.
- Exercise: Group activity to articulate and refine problem statements.
Week 2: 3rd August 2024
3. Creative Ideation Methods
- Defining System Parameters Setting the stage for creative thinking.
- Divergent Thinking Exploring both "thinking outside the box" and "thinking inside the box."
- Convergent Thinking Selecting the most suitable ideas for further development.
- Exercise: Introduction to frameworks and application to generate ideas.
4. Enhancing Creativity
- Sources of Ideas Identifying where great ideas come from.
- Creativity Drivers Factors that enhance creative thinking.
- Polishing Your CreativityTechniques for refining and presenting ideas.
- Exercise: Group work to fine-tune and polish ideas.
Week 3: 10th August 2024
5. Proof of Principle to Proof of Concept
- Proof of Principle Establishing initial feasibility.
- Proof of Concept Developing and testing prototypes.
- Exercise: Group activity to design an effective PoC.
6. Establishing Problem-Solution Fit
- Defining Problem-Solution Fit Assessing if the solution effectively addresses the problem.
- Feasibility Assessment Evaluating practical viability.
- Exercise: Group activity to evaluate problem-solution fit and summarize learnings.
- Next Steps Guidance on actions after achieving problem-solution fit.
